Man taken to hospital and road closed after car overturns

A driver was taken to hospital after his Mazda left the road near the Foresters Pub in Church Crookham around lunchtime

Police closed Aldershot Road to recover the crashed car

A driver was hospitalised when his car came off the road in Church Crookham before landing on its side.

The driver, a man thought to be in his 30s, was driving his Mazda 3 along Aldershot Road when he left the road near the Foresters Pub at just after 1pm on December 5.

Police officers closed the road for almost two hours while the car was recovered.

There were no passengers in the vehicle and the driver was fully conscious when paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance service arrived and tended to him at the scene.

Although he had no obvious injuries, he was placed in a neck brace and onto a vacuum mattress before being taken to Frimley Park Hospital for further checks.
