TWO masked robbers escaped with cash and cigarettes after threatening a Camberley sub-post office employee with a knife.

Wearing Balaclava helmets, they burst into the premises in Victoria Avenue just after 4pm on Wednesday last week.

They threatened the terrified assistant with a kitchen knife and ordered her to hand over cash and cigarettes.

The pair fled into the Yorktown estate with £150 in cash and 25 packets of cigarettes, which they carried in a pillow case.

According to police the assistant was shocked but otherwise unhurt.

The robber carrying the knife is described as white, 5ft 8in tall and of medium build.

He was wearing a black fleece jacket and blue jeans. He was also wearing blue gloves made of a plastic type material.

His accomplice was also white, 6ft tall and of slim build. He was wearing similar clothes to the knifeman.

Police have appealed for information from anyone who was in the area at the time of the robbery.
