TWO masked thugs threatened a 27-year-old Owlsmoor man with a knife before robbing him of £85.

They also punched him in the face and body during the afternoon attack in London Road, Camberley.

The pair pounced as the man was walking to a bus stop after visiting the Staff public house.

They grabbed his jacket and pulled him into an alleyway where they put a knife to his throat.

After handing over the money the victim staggered to the town's police station to report what had happened.

Police searched the town but were unable to trace the robbers, who were both white.

One is described as being 5ft 11in tall with a chubby face and of stocky build. He had sunken eyes and spoke with either a Scottish or Irish accent.

He was wearing a dark grey sweatshirt with a hood pulled tight to hide his face.

His accomplice was about 5ft 6in tall and of medium build. He was wearing a green padded jacket and blue scarf pulled over his head. The lower part of his face was masked.

The attack happened at 2.20pm on Wednesday last week, and police have appealed for information from anyone who saw the thugs in the area.

Witnesses should contact Detective Constable Graham Parker at Camberley police station on 01276 27131.
