MINK are being blamed by Sandhurst town councillors for the disappearance of ducks from the balancing pond in the town's Memorial Park.
Now they are urging local fishermen to report to them if they see any of the vicious predators. They are hoping that steps can soon be taken to eliminate the mink.
Coun. John Mason said the ducks had been driven from their home and Chief Executive Chris Smith said the matter was being drawn to the attention of the Blackwater Valley Agency. He felt that any campaign against mink needed to be along the whole length of the valley.
