Missing woman from Yateley found 'safe and well' after police and social media appeals to track her down were successful
A mother who was reported missing at the beginning of this week has been found.
Donna Dallison, 47, from Yateley, was found on Tuesday evening (September 24) "safe and well", police confirmed.
The police have yet to explain where she was found or the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
She was reported missing from her home in Weybridge Mead on Monday morning (September 23).
Hampshire Constabulary posted an appeal and photo of Mrs Dallison on Facebook and Twitter on Monday evening for internet users to share in a bid to find her.
Neighbours said they had been worried about her whereabouts and were pleased that she had now been found.
Stephen Rooney, of Weybridge Mead, stressed how powerful social networking could be in situations like this.
"The police used social media for the appeal," he said. "Facebook and Twitter were used for the search and also an online group was started up.
"Social media is a fantastic way of getting a photo out into the public in a matter of seconds.
"Donna knows hundreds of people in Yateley and they were dreading the worst.
"We are all pleased and delighted she has been found."
