RESIDENTS have won a partial victory in their battle over a proposal to redevelop the Air-Log factory site at Aldershot.
They have persuaded Rushmoor Council planners to ask architects to redesign the scheme to build 21 industrial units.
Aim of the new blueprint would be to move the buildings farther away from homes in North Lane.
Twenty-eight residents signed a petition calling for the proposed scheme to be thrown out.
Another seven also wrote to the council with a list of objections including claims that their homes would be overlooked and that property prices would be hit.
Their views were opposed by a planning officer who said in a report that the new buildings would have only a "minimal impact" on the homes.
But members of the development control committee disagreed and called for the scheme to be redesigned.
