A PENSIONER was indecently assaulted as she walked her dog in Ash Vale.

The 71-year old woman from Ash was attacked on the canal bank a week last Wednesday at 10.10am.

She became aware of a man following her when he approached and asked her about her dog before walking away.

A few minutes later he walked past again, but this time he grabbed her from behind and indecently assaulted her.

When she shouted at him, he apologised to her before running off.

The offender is white, 5ft 6in tall, in his late twenties and of medium build. He has short light brown hair, a round face which was clean shaven and a fair complexion.

He was wearing a dark blue short-sleeved T-shirt, dark trousers and trainers.

Police would particularly like to speak to a woman who may have been approached by the same man while walking her dog in Ash Park on either the same day or the next day.

Anyone with information should call Det Con Gemma Morris at Guildford CID on 01483 653141.
