CAMBERLEY folk are to be transported to Neverland this Christmas when Peter Pan is staged as the annual pantomime at Camberley Theatre.

On Thursday stars of the show were at the venue for the launch. They included Sixties pop performer Mark Wynter, appearing as Captain Hook. Mark has spent around 40 years in the theatre world.

Peter Pan is played by Daniel Woodehouse, born and raised in Camberley and a former backstage worker at the Camberley Theatre.

"He now looks forward to making his professional debut on a stage that he has swept many times before," said a theatre spokesman.

Smee is played by Neville Hutton whilst Maria Carrigan and Abigail Rosser play Mrs Darling and Wendy. Youngsters from local dance schools will play the lost boys and girls.

Peter Pan runs from Thursday December 12 to Sunday January 5. Ring the box office on 01276 707600.
