Two talented students from Farnborough Hill School have won prizes in the Ottakars bookshops annual poetry competition.
Anna Bruce, aged 13, won first prize in the 9 - 12 category with her poem "A Tropical Paradise". Silke Steinen-Durand, aged 17, who is in the sixth form at the school, was runner-up in the adult section with "Painting Life's Canvas".
This is not the first success for Silke in this competition. Two years ago she came first in the 13 - 16 section.
The girls were delighted with their prizes of poetry collections.
