Police appeal for witnesses after alleyway assault of young man

A man aged 23 suffered cuts and bruises when he was attacked by two strangers in an alleyway in Farnborough early on Sunday morning

A young man was assaulted in an alleyway in Farnborough, prompting an appeal for witnesses from police.

The attack occurred at around 8am on Sunday, December 22 in an alleyway that runs between Montgomery Road and Cove Road.

The victim, a 23-year-old man, was walking along the alleyway when he was approached by two unknown men who assaulted him resulting in a cut to his head and bruising.

The first suspect is described as white, in his late teens, 6ft tall with a skinny build and pale complexion. He had short, dark spiky hair and wore dark clothes.

The second suspect is described as mixed race, also in his late teens, 5ft 9" tall, dark hair which is short around the sides and longer on top. He was wearing dark chino trousers and a dark hooded top.

Detective Constable Andrew Grieve from Aldershot police station said: "I would like to hear from anyone who was in the area around the time of this incident and may have seen those involved."
