Police searching for missing man find body in Farnborough

Police said the death of a man - whose body was found close to woodland in Farnborough on Saturday - is being treated as "non-suspicious"

The body of a man was found in Farnborough at the weekend as part of a search for a missing person from Northampton.

Kent Police launched a search for Jonathan Stickland, 28, who was reported missing from the Northampton area on Thursday July 3, after he was seen near Snodland in Kent.

At 4pm on Saturday July 5 a body of a man was found close to woodland in Farnborough.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "The body has not been formally identified but the family members of a man reported missing from the Northampton area on July 3, who was last seen in the Snodland area, have been informed."

Police said the man's death was being treated as "non-suspicious".
