A PERVERT who pinches underwear from washing lines could be the same man seen flashing at women around Aldershot, police say.
Detectives are investigating up to seven cases of women's underwear disappearing from gardens in the Grosvenor Road and Church Lane East areas since the end of June.
Some garments were damaged or interfered with.
They are also following up reports of a man exposing himself to women in the same area during the same period.
Officers believe the two cases are probably linked.
In one incident a man flashed at two women as they crossed the footbridge at Aldershot station in the early hours of August 2.
He had been waiting for them at the bottom of the stairway and performed an indecent act as they walked towards him.
The man then followed the women for a short while before fleeing.
A 34-year-old Aldershot man has been arrested and released on police bail pending further inquiries.
Det Con Matt Watson, of Aldershot CID, said: "We want anybody who has had any underwear interfered with, stolen, damaged or pulled off the washing line anytime from the end of June up until the present to get in contact."
They should contact Det Con Watson on 0845 0454545.
