A man was attacked from behind before having items stolen in Blackwater Park

Hooded men struck a man from behind and then stole his cash and belongings in a violent robbery in Blackwater.

On Friday August 15 at around 4pm a man walking on his own through Blackwater Park, off Admiralty Way in Blackwater, when he was hit from behind and had his bag stolen.

The 24-year-old victim had £30 in cash, bank cards, his national insurance card and his driving licence inside his bag.

He described his attackers as a group of four men, all around six feet tall and well-built, wearing dark-coloured tracksuit tops and bottoms with their hoods up and faces covered.

One was wearing light-coloured trainers and the trainers worn by the others were dark.

PC Victoria Brackstone, from Aldershot police station, said: "We are appealing for anyone in the area around this time who may have seen or heard anything suspicious or noticed a group of men in the area to contact police on 101.

"This is a rare occurrence and fortunately the victim was not badly hurt."
