A BLAZE which ripped through a garage at the back of houses in Church Crookham early on April 24 is under investigation.
Firefighters received seven calls from residents of Parsons Close, whose houses overlook the garages, as the flames took hold.
Both the garage and the vehicle it housed were well alight when firefighters arrived.
A Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the fire had been started deliberately and police were now investigating.
Eyewitness Martin Creasy said: "These are old MoD houses and a lot of them don't have attached garages, but garages round the back. Lots of them are run down and it is quite controversial because they are in a state. Some are almost falling down."
