A Farnborough pub has reopened under new management following a refurbishment.
The Alexandra Pub, in Victoria Road, closed for the revamp on January 22 before reopening this month.
New landlady Nadia Schicchi, 40, has worked in pubs and restaurants for 20 years but this is her first experience of managing a pub.
She said: “Its décor resembles a modern small Downtown Abbey with Edwardian wallpaper and frames. Opening was great, lots of people came and all the previous regulars were there.
“I have worked in the industry for a number of years but it is now time for me to spread my wings.”
The pub offers traditional fresh food and holds regular live music, entertainment and quiz nights.
The head chef, Stefano Casari, previously worked at an Italian restaurant in London. The pub also offers bed and breakfast accommodation service.
Miss Schicchi said: “Food is a big focus for our pub, we hope that people will come here to find something different. It’s been busy but very rewarding.”
The pub is owned by Punch Taverns and the former landlord was Joe Williams, who ran the venture for many years.
On Saturday The Alexandra will be hosting a live music night, from 8pm, featuring a range of songs from the 60s, 70s and 80s.
