Rail services around Aldershot and Camberley were hit on Thursday morning after a tree fell on the line.
The obstruction was cleared from the tracks between the two towns after being reported at around 7am, but there were knock-on effects with some services being altered or delayed.
The tree fell at a junction affecting both the Alton line to London, which calls at Ash Vale, and the Aldershot to Ascot line.
South West Trains said services through Aldershot and Camberley were affected.
Signalling problems at Waterloo station also caused delays, and the train operator said some services would be terminated before London up until midday in order to reduce the number of trains arriving there and help get things back to normal.
