RAQUEL Cassidy will be spending Easter in hospital — but only as a guest star in Holby City.
And once again the Cassidy curse has struck as she won’t be able to watch the episode when it goes out on BBC1 at the weekend.
Instead she will be on stage at The Gate Theatre, London, starring in the world premiere of the oddly named play The Flu Season.
The Fleet actress plays a midwife in an Easter special of Holby — yet another small screen change of character after successfully starring as a police woman in Killer Net, a school mistress in Teachers and an army special investigator in Redcap.
Raquel, who likes to keep a balance between treading the boards on stage and film and television work, also received a good piece of new this week.
The second series of Teachers, which became cult viewing on Channel 4, was nominated for a BAFTA award — the British equivalent of the Oscars.
