PILES of uncollected rubbish outside flats in Frimley are causing a serious health risk, residents believe.
They claim used nappies and rotting food are spilling out close to a spot where children regu-larly play, and they say dustmen will not touch it because they are only responsible for rubbish in the bins.
Mark and Niki Cassidy, of Middlemoor Road, claim they have contacted the environmental health department at Surrey Heath Council several times but nothing has been done about the mess.
The problem began a few months ago when one of the chutes leading to the bins became blocked.
Mark said other residents have also complained to the environmental health department and to Surrey Heath Housing Association.
Ken Stewart, chief environmental health officer, said the council is working with Surrey Heath Housing Association to try to sort out the problem.
