Robbers armed with knife stole cash from Farnborough bookmakers

Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after two robbers targeted Ladbrokes bookmakers in Farnborough

Staff at a bookmakers in Farnborough have been left shaken after robbers armed with a knife struck last night (January 29)

The robbery occurred just before 8pm at Ladbrokes in Bridge Road. Two men entered the store, one of whom had a knife, and demanded money.

The cashier handed over cash and both men left the store.

Police had launched an appeal for witnesses. The first suspect is described as white man, in his early 20s, 6ft tall and of average build with dark hair. The second suspect is described as white, also in his early 20s, over 6ft tall with a slim build.

Detective Sergeant Al Hastings, from Hart and Rushmoor CID, said: "No one was hurt during this incident but situations like this are very frightening for the victims and we would appeal for any witnesses who can assist us in finding those responsible.

"Were you in the area at the time? Did you see two men near to the store before or after the incident?"
