A FREE bus offered by Sainsbury to take Sandhurst people to its Watchmoor Park store was about to be cut to only one day a week, former Mayor Ray Earwicker complained at the public forum during Sandhurst Town Council's Thursday meeting.
Mr Earwicker said people in Little Sandhurst were being affected by the change and he hoped the town council would take the matter up with the store. He also rapped Tesco for having never offered a similar service to its Meadows store despite doing so for Camberley.
The question was referred to the Environment Committee after Coun. Diana Pidgeon said the council could at least try to do something about it. Mr Earwicker is to give them names of residents affected.
