THIEVES sprayed a security guard with a mystery substance during a raid on a Frimley computer company last Thursday evening.

The 57-year-old guard was temporarily blinded by the spray and taken to Frimley Park Hospital for treatment.

Judy Williams, Camberley police press officer, said that according to doctors he had not suffered any long term damage to his eyesight.

The guard, who lives at Farnborough, was attacked when he disturbed two burglars at an unnamed computer company at Frimley Business Park.

They stole a quantity of computer chips and made off in a white vehicle. Both villains wore Balaclava helmets.
