A TEENAGER arrested in possession of six-and-a-half ounces of cannabis last Friday has been cautioned by police.

The 16-year-old was caught at around 8pm behind Guild Gate House on High Street, a well-know spot for drug users, according to police.

Police confiscated the cannabis and cautioned the youth as it was his first offence. PC Mark Everett of Crowthorne Police said: "We were quite shocked by the amount we found on him. Six-and-a-half ounces is a lot to find on one person. I want to stress that cannabis in any form is categorised as a class B drug and the law currently states it is an arrestable offence to be in possession of any amount of it."
