IT MAY be cold outside, but you can skateboard and BMX in the warmth of the main hall at Farnborough Recreation Centre until Sunday, Jan 6.
The venue features a purpose-built wooden street course incorporating flat banks, drive ways, grind rails, boxes and fly-offs. There are two mini half pipes, competitions, giveaways, skate shop, tuck shop, music and more.
Councillor David Clifford, Cabinet Member for leisure and Promotion at Rushmoor Council, said: "We are very keen to make sure that we get the planning and building of the Farnborough Skate Park project right and by holding events like this we can carry out further consultation regarding the finer points of the project."
Open to anyone who would like to skateboard, BMX or Inline skate, the event is daily from 10am-10pm.
Each day is split into three four-hour sessions costing £5 or £12.50 for a full day pass. There are no age restrictions, although under eights must be with an adult. For information, call 01252 370411.
