PASSENGERS with small cars will be able to make great savings on their parking costs as South West Trains introduces new smaller spaces at Farnborough station.
The spaces, which are designed for Smart cars, have been created at the station as part of a new parking initiative. Passengers who use them will be entitled to 40 per cent discount on the normal parking charges.
Four new spaces, which are under 10 feet in length, have been introduced at three major stations, Farnbor-ough, Winchester and Guildford, as part of an on-going trial.
The new spaces have been added without losing any of the existing parking bays because the Smart cars can squeeze into much smaller gaps in the car park.
Once the trial period is over, the scheme could be extended with more spaces at these and other stations.
