MUSICIANS from Farnborough Hill School made their debut as a swing band at the Jagz at the Station club in Ascot.
The club is well known nationally in jazz circles and has hosted many famous names from the music world.
National stars perform there at weekends, but John Gripton, owner of Jagz, is keen to support and encourage local bands.
The band impressed him so much that he has invited the school to come back and perform again in the autumn.
Development director Clare Duffin said: "I think it was an enormous success and everyone had a really good evening.
"It was quite full and we had a large and very supportive audience — a good time was had by all."
The swing band was formed in the last academic year and since then the girls have become proficient swing musicians.
The age of the group ranges from 12-17 and on the night they were joined by Alex, who played drums, and guitarist Nic Kershaw. Their music teachers also joined them on keyboards.
A date has not yet been set for the band's next appearance at Jagz.
