A 19-year-old man was investigated by Hampshire police and later charged in relation to racist comments posted on Facebook following the death of the toddler
A teenager has been charged with posting a racially offensive comment on Facebook relating to the death of toddler Mikaeel Kular.
Warren Butler, 19, of Carlisle, Cumbria, is charged with improper use of a communications network.
The teenager, who was investigated by Hampshire police and has connections with Farnborough, was one of two people arrested for allegedly posting comments on internet social networks.
Butler has been bailed to attend Aldershot Magistrates' Court on February 13.
The second case was being investigated by police in Derbyshire.
Rosdeep Kular, 33, has been charged with the murder of her three-year-old son, Mikaeel, who went missing from his home in Edinburgh on January 15.
His remains were found the two days later in woodland in Fife.
She is also charged with attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
