FREE glasses of wine and mince pies will help shoppers get into the Christmas spirit at Fleet's Hart Shopping Centre next Thursday evening. (November 28).

The festive fare will be handed out during a colourful gala evening, which is expected to attract scores of visitors to the centre.

It is Centre Manager Caroleanne Baker's way of saying a big ‘thank you' to customers for their loyalty during the past year.

She said "Our customers are mainly people who live in the immediate areas, and who shop at the centre regularly. They are extremely loyal, and we thought a free drink and mince pie would be an appropriate way to show our appreciation at this time of year."

As an added attraction, a high majority of the centre's shops will be offering special discounts and promotions over the evening period.

There will also be plenty of children's entertainment, including a juggler, stilt walker, balloonist and face painter, which should keep the youngsters amused.

And the new crèche facility, Abacus, on Level 2, will be open for children aged from three months to eight years of age.

The Sandhurst Silver Band will be playing festive music, and the highlight of the seasonal decorations will be an animated display featuring Father Christmas.

Mother-of-two Caroleanne, who took over as manager in March of this year, said: "We will be doing everything we can to ensure shoppers get into the festive mood." The centre will be open until 8pm and is organising this event as part of the annual Fleet Gala.
