HAWLEY Place School, Blackwater, has won a regional prize in the "Ariel Science of Cleaning" competition.
An outstanding entry compiled by pupils from Class 6 has gained them two complete sets of sports kit, for a boys' and girls' team at the school.
During lessons, as well as through experiments and homework assignments, the pupils learned how to design the ideal washing tablet to achieve the best cleaning results.
The children (above) were asked to present their findings in an interesting and creative way and their competition entry consisted of an excellent compilation of pupils' artwork, posters and stories.
Mr T Pipe, head teacher of Hawley Place School, said: "Coinciding with National Science Year, the Ariel Stains & Science programme applies science to everyday life and involves the family at home, which we like to encourage."
