A THIEF snatched a pub's takings, totalling £5000, at Fleet last Thursday.

The villain struck as the woman carrying the cash stepped out of her car in Faulkners Close, Ancells Farm.

He grabbed the blue vinyl document case containing the takings from the Harvester in Cove Road.

The woman, aged 26, was intending to pay in the money at a nearby post office.

She chased the thief but was unable to catch him.

He is described as tall and thin. He was wearing a baseball cap and sports-style clothing.
