Three arrested following drugs raid

Three people have been arrested following a drugs raid in Blackwater.

Warrants were used to search three addresses in Hearsey Garden yesterday (January 29) and seized substances are believed to be Class B drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Michael King, 54, from Hearsey Gardens in Blackwater, was arrested and later charged with possession with intent to supply a Class B drug. He has been bailed to appear at Aldershot Magistrates' Court on February 13.

A 20-year-old man from Blackwater was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug while a 20-year-old woman from Farnborough was arrested on the same charge. They have been bailed to allow for further enquires until March 7.

The raid follows an investigation into the supply of illegal drugs as part of Hampshire police’s Operation Fortress campaign.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who is concerned about illegal drugs or drug-related crime in their neighbourhood. Residents can call  police on 101 or 999 if a crime is in progress.
