A woman had to be cut free from her car following a collision with a van

A collision between a car and a van saw both lanes of the A30 in Blackwater shut for around an hour on Tuesday.

Two people were hurt when a blue Peugeot panelled van and a blue BMW 318 were involved in a crash outside the Ely Hotel in London Road.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said it happened on the A30 between the A327 Cricket Hill Lane and B3272 Reading Road.

They said: "A woman in her 50s was trapped in her BMW with suspected chest and back injuries.

"A man in his 50s was unconscious at the scene.

"The air ambulance attended and landed on Yateley Common."

Hampshire fire and rescue crews from Rushmoor and Yateley stations attended the scene.

A spokesperson said: "It was a collision between two private vehicles.

"One person, a female, was trapped and had to be extricated from her vehicle.

"She was then taken to hospital by ambulance."

"We left the scene at 1.25pm."
