Just imagine being turned loose in a toyshop for an hour, with £200 to spend.

This was the delightful prospect facing two Camberley brothers when the doors of The Entertainer, the Camberley toy store, swung open just for them.

Nathan Wingett, nine, and Thomas, ten, of Frimley Road, Camberley, won this year's Star Christmas card competition with their snowy scene showing Santa as a Star delivery man, pulling along supplies of your favourite free newspaper.

Delivering Stars is something the boys know all about as they assist their mum, Julie, with her round, which is where they got the inspiration for their card.

In the goodie-packed aisles of The Entertainer the brothers selected items such as Island Hopper, a Super Truck, WWF figures, an Action Man and Lego adventure kits. They even chose a gift for their little brother Oliver. John Crook, manager of The Entertainer, says his best selling toys this year are pogo sticks, the Arcadia games system, Polly Pocket, What's Her Face doll, Micro Machine Truck and WWF figures including the Survivor Gift Pack.

Not far behind are Teletubbies and a Wigglin for Honey Pooh. Traditional toys like Lego, Galt activity items, Falcon puzzles and Ty Beanies and Buddies are also selling steadily.

"There is no single best seller this year," John told me. "This is unusual, but it does mean we are not asked the same question all day!"
