A CAR sales boss is offering a reward for the recovery of a set of rare wheels stolen from his forecourt at Farnborough.

Murray Felton is willing to pay £1000 for information leading to the return of the wheels and the conviction of the thief, or £500 for just a conviction.

He said it would be easy to recognise the 17in Vibram alloy wheels because they are almost certainly unique in this country.

They were taken from a Honda CRX sports car parked on the forecourt of his premises - The Magnum Motor Company in Queen's Road.

"The fact that there is a CCTV camera right outside the forecourt didn't seem to worry the thieves," said Mr Felton, a partner in the business.

"Their barefaced cheek amazes me. They must have walked straight past the camera with the wheels."

He added: "I know it's speculation, but I believe whoever took these probably lives locally."

Police are studying CCTV tapes in the hope of obtaining a clear picture of the villains who struck overnight last Saturday.

The theft was discovered by a member of the public on Sunday lunchtime when he saw the car propped up on bricks.

Anyone with information should ring either Mr Felton on 01252 545941, or Farnborough police on 0845 045 45 45.
