AN 80-year-old woman disturbed a thief who sneaked into her Camberley home while she was sitting in her lounge.
She decided to investigate after hearing an upstairs floorboard creak at her house in Worsley Road at teatime on Sunday.
The shocked pensioner found the crook, who was wearing a pair of tight-fitting medical style gloves, searching a cupboard in her bedroom.
When she challenged him, he pushed past her and ran from the house.
The villain is described as white, in his early 20s with shaven dark hair, thick lips and a pallid complexion.
He was wearing a white polo shirt and grey tracksuit bottoms.
Police believe the intruder may have also been responsible for a break-in at a house in nearby Melville Avenue earlier in the day. Again, he left empty handed.
They want to hear from anyone who saw the man in the area on Sunday.
