A NIGHT shift worker was crushed to death at a Frimley factory yesterday (Wednesday).
The man was working on a machine in the production supply department at SC Johnson Ltd when the accident happened.
Stunned colleagues raised the alarm at just after midnight, and ambulance and fire crews rushed to the factory in Frimley Green Road.
But according to a Camberley police spokeswoman the victim, who was married, was certified dead at the scene.
Police and the Health and Safety Executive are investigating the accident.
Details of the man were still being withheld as the Star went to press.
Company spokeswoman Marie Middleton said yesterday (Wednes-day): "Everyone here is in a state of shock.
"It's a very difficult time for everyone, and our thoughts are with the employee's family."
She declined to make any further comment in view of the on-going investigation.
SC Johnson is one of the area's oldest companies, having been in Frimley since 1960.
About 400 workers are employed at the factory which produces a wide range of brand name household cleaning products.
