A BLUEPRINT to turn a Camberley business area into one of the best in Europe was unveiled this week.
Major improvements are envisaged for the Yorktown estate which is situated at the western gateway to the town.
Built in the 1960s, the area is the major employment centre within Surrey Heath and is in desperate need of a facelift. The blueprint aims to eliminate traffic congestion; improve the area's image; introduce better landscaping and explore ways of making the residential areas more attractive.
Drawn up by the borough council and the Yorktown Business Association, it will serve as a guidance document for planners. The council's executive was told in a report: "The association seeks to make the business area a centre of business excellence and one of the 100 best business locations in Europe."
