Detectives are looking into the stabbing of a man in his 20s in an alleyway in Yateley
Detectives have launched an investigation after a man was stabbed in an alleyway.
Shortly after 8.30pm on Saturday, October 5 police were called to Yateley after a man in his 20s was reported to have been stabbed.
His injuries were serious, but not life-threatening.
The alleyway between Vigo Lane and Lymington Avenue was taped off to allow officers to undergo a thorough investigation of the scene.
This continued the following day.
Residents were advised that the attack had been an 'isolated incident' and there was no threat to public safety.
A statement by Hampshire Constabulary said: "Initial enquiries suggest this was a targeted assault.
"There is no information about a risk to the wider community.
"We would like to thank members of the public who have approached us with information already."
Two men, aged 18 and 20, from Surrey, were arrested shortly after 11pm on Saturday on suspicion of being involved in the circumstances surrounding this assault.
They remain in police custody for questioning.
