As well as the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, the 2010 Farnborough Air Show also attracted aircraft of various ages, with a number of Second World War exhibits.

Planes such as the Lancaster Bomber and Hawker Hurricane appeared at Farnborough Airport alongside more contemporary aircraft such as the Airbus A380.

Organisers Farnborough International said deals worth £31bn were made during the trade days.

Aerobatics team the Blades were out flying along with Airbus A400M military transport, C27J Spartan military transport and M346 fighter jet trainer.

Among the modern military planes flying were a BAE Typhoon fighter, RAF Typhoon fighter, F-22 US fighter, F-18 US fighter, F-16 US fighter and C130J Hercules military transport.
