The Farnborough Air Show celebrated its diamond anniversary in 2008, marked by the arrival of the world's biggest passenger jet.

The Airbus A380 double-decker made its debut at Farnborough Airport and put on a show for the visiting crowds.

Meanwhile, other traditional crowd pleasers such as the Red Arrows appeared alongside the Vulcan XH558.

Another draw was the Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet from the American Military, while two MiGs came from the Slovakian Air Force.

The Italian Air Force also sent a number of exhibits along with the Indian and American air forces.
