Man attacked with chunk of concrete

A man was left with a head wound after being hit with a lump of concrete as he walked in Farnborough.

Police are seeking witnesses to the attack, which happened on Thursday July 17.

The 43-year-old victim was talking on his mobile phone as he walked along Sandy Lane between 8.10pm and 8.20pm.

He saw a man walk past him on his left side and was then suddenly hit on the back of the head with a lump of concrete.

He received a deep wound and was taken to Frimley Park Hospital for treatment.

The attacker is described as white, aged in his early to mid 20s, around 6ft tall, medium build, blond hair which was almost white and wearing grey clothing.

PC Adam Geer of Farnborough police said: “This was a violent and unprovoked attack on an innocent member of the public who was minding his own business.

“The description of the attacker is quite distinctive and there were likely to have been a number of people in the area at the time of the incident. ”
