A man whose disappearance from his home sparked a police appeal across Hampshire, Surrey and further afield has been found safe and well near Liss.

James Allen, 64, from Fareham, drove away from the home he shares with his wife in Plymouth Drive on Monday and was reported missing the day after.

Police said at the time that Mr Allen’s disappearance was out of character and they were concerned for his safety.

But Hampshire Constabulary said he was found on the A3 just north of Liss on Friday morning.
