New health centre to provide streamlined care
By Marcus Mabberley13/ 8/2008
Care all under the same roof at the Aldershot Centre for Health should reduce the time doctors take to diagnose and treat patients’ ailments, according to GPs there.
The Hospital Hill building brings together the Army primary healthcare services and the NHS primary medical facilities in the home of the British Army and the surrounding area.
The centre includes three GP practices, an outpatient department, a radiology centre, pathology facilities, a medical reception station, adolescent mental health provision and dentists.
Apparatus include a CT scanner, which takes images of bones, organs or vessels giving clinicians a 3D image and a clearer understanding of a patient’s medical condition.
