A man charged with attacking the boyfriend of Aldershot-born Sugababes singer Amelle Berrabah with a machete has had his trial date set.

Jimmy Wenman, 29, is accused of wounding with intent in relation to an attack on Freddie Fuller near an Aldershot pub on Christmas Eve last year.

Wenman, of Rectory Lane, Bentley, was granted conditional bail by Winchester Crown Court, with a trial date set for November 17.
