A man has appeared in court charged with causing the death of a motorcyclist on the M3 at Winchfield.
Richard Hughes, 28, from Plymouth, Devon, is accused of causing death by dangerous driving in connection with a crash in the early hours of January 4.
He was driving a Citroen C3 car, which was in collision with Martin Hopper’s Honda motorbike.
Mr Hopper was on the northbound carriageway of the M3 between junction five at Hook and the Fleet services when the collision occurred.
The 40-year-old, of Campsie Close, Basingstoke, died as a result of his injuries.
Aldershot magistrates granted Hughes unconditional bail. He will next appear at Winchester Crown Court on February 27.
