Youngsters pull out all the stops for Children in Need

Youngsters from throughout the Get Hampshire area were brandishing Pudseys and collecting the cash on Friday.

They were giving their support to the annual Children in Need fundraising drive, which aims to raise money for disadvantaged children in the UK.

At Yateley Infant School, School Lane, yateley, youngsters dressed in spotty costumes, with Year 2 children in charge of the fundraising event providing stalls and fun activities.

Each child brought a toy into the Yateley school on the day, giving other pupils the chance to buy them, with all proceeds going to the those less fortunate.

Throughout the day Year 1 and Year 2 children had the opportunity to visit the sale while the youngest children in school collected donations on a large Pudsey Bear.

Pupils at Crowthorne Church of England School, Crowthorne, created ceramic Pudsey Bears in their pottery classes at young performers from the Helena O'Grady Drama academy entertained shoppers at Asda in Farnborough, collecting donations as they went.

Students at St Nicolas School in Fleet were visited by MP James Arbuthnot and they presented him with a Pudsey Bear at the end of his visit.

This year's Children in Need appeal, which was televised on Friday, has so far raised more than £20 million and the money is still rolling in.
