Desperate plea for missing Tommy
September 17, 2009
OWNERS of a cat named after his similarity to a cartoon character have lodged a last-ditch appeal to find him.
Alison Shields and her husband James, who live in Yateley, are offering a £50 reward for Tommy’s return.
He was last seen in the Tudor Drive area on August 26 and the family has been searching for him ever since.
Although Tommy, who is solid grey and white like his namesake of Tom and Jerry fame, does not have a collar, he is microchipped.
Mrs Shields said they were was desperate to have their pet back. “We miss him so much. We look for him, early mornings and late at night every day. We’ve been out in the woods calling him, too,” she said.
“He has been our cat for four years and walks with us in the woods, to the shops and sleeps on our beds in turns, so he is a real companion cat.”
Anyone with information can call Pet Log on 0870 606 6751. He is registered at Kynoch & Partners in Yateley 01252 873569. Alternatively, Mr Shields can be called on 07734 290090.
