A DISABLED woman was left trapped in her car after it flipped onto its side in a crash in Farnborough on Thursday evening.

Fire crews had to stabilise the 4x4 vehicle before the woman could be freed after a crash with a Ford Fiesta on the roundabout on Farnborough Road near Farnborough Gate retail park.

Emergency services said the woman did not sustain any serious injuries, but was taken to Frimley Park Hospital for a check-up.

Ken Donald, watch manager at Rushmoor Fire Station, said: “We had to use specialist stabilising equipment to get her out. She was quite calm.”
