Date set for Farnborough Airport expansion inquiry
February 05, 2010
A DATE has been set for an inquiry into Farnborough Airport owner TAG’s drive for permission to almost double the number of flights there.
TAG lodged an appeal against Rushmoor Borough Council’s decision in November to block its plans for 50,000 flights there a year, up from the current permission for 28,000.
A planning inspector will begin hearing evidence for and against at the council offices on May 18.
At the council’s planning meeting in November, the council’s head of planning Keith Holland warned councillors TAG would probably win if it appealed.
