Bikers 4 Boobs cycle in aid of breast cancer
June 09, 2010
A GROUP of women have raised more than £1,000 by cycling from Farnborough to Odiham and back in aid of a cancer charity.
The group, who called themselves Bikers 4 Boobs, cycled 40 miles along the Basingstoke Canal on Saturday with a target of raising £500 in sponsorship and collections along the way.
Organiser Jane Redhead said the cyclists were proud of their achievement.
"We have blown this to pieces and are currently at an amazing fundraising level of £1,034, plus £186 in Gift Aid, so we are very proud of ourselves," she said.
"We were all chuffed to bits as many of us have close friends and relatives who have suffered with breast cancer and indeed all sorts of cancer, so it was a charity very close to all our hearts."
