Video shop targeted by 'brazen' burglars

By Pete Castle
June 23, 2010

THREE men burgled a video shop in Aldershot taking £500 worth of video games.

Between 4.45pm and 5pm on Tuesday last week (June 15), three men walked into the video and computer games rental shop in the High Street, Aldershot, and tried to distract a member of staff.

The men left, but returned a few minutes later and “brazenly” stole 18 computer games from behind the counter, police said.

The items stolen were three copies of racing game Blur for the Xbox 360, three copies of Blur Bronco edition for the Xbox 360, nine copies of UFC 2010 for the Xbox 360 and three copies of UFC 2010 for the PlayStation 3.

Police are now appealing for witnesses and information about the burglars. All three were white, in their mid 20s and had short hair.

'White pupil'

The first man was around 5ft 9ins tall, slim, with light hair, and his left pupil was “completely white”, witnesses said. He was wearing a blue or grey vest with a large logo on the front and blue jeans.

The second man was 6ft 3ins tall, of average build with dark hair, acne, and wore a dark blue sweater. He spoke with a “deep local accent”, police said.

The third man was only 5ft 5ins, with dark brown hair and wore a dark T-shirt.

Anyone with any information is asked to call PC Good at Farnborough police station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
